About Sylvie
Sylvie Randall (she/her), born and raised in Boulder City, Nevada, has been dancing since she was four years old and enjoys all aspects of dance including the physicality it demands, the creative potential it holds, the mindfulness it requires, and connection it stimulates.
Sylvie seeks to find and bring joy to movers’ everyday practices and creative processes. She is a performer, yoga instructor, and emerging choreographer and educator.
She danced through her childhood training with Dance Etc in Boulder City, NV for 14 years where she received a diverse dance training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, and more. She then attended Brigham Young University to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. There she performed with their Ballet Showcase, DancEnsemble, and Contemporary Dance Theatre companies where she performed works by Jesse Obremski, Courtney Mazeika, and Vanessa Cook among others. She enjoyed her BYU Europe Contemporary Dance Study Abroad where she trained at The Henny Jurriens Foundation, Nederlands Dans Theater, Impulstanz International Dance Festival, and Akar Dance. Sylvie continues to be inspired by the Gaga technique principles she learned while in the Netherlands. She currently dances with SALT2 Contemporary Dance Company in Utah where she has had the privilege of working alongside the SALT Company and with choreographers such as Brandon Alley, Keerati Jinakunqiphat, Courtney Mazeika, Rena Butler, and others.
Her mantra is to always show up and to stay curious.
